How to book train tickets using IRCTC’s Pay Later service | Gadgets Now

Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) recently launched a new service that allows users to book train tickets without paying anything. The new service called Book Now, Pay Later now gives users an option to book the ticket without paying and then pay for it later. Notably, users will have to pay the amount within 14 days after that IRCTC will start charging 3.5% interest on the total amount.

If you are curious about how to use the service, follow our step-by-step guide

1.

Open IRCTC website, log in and plan your Journey

2.

Now enter passenger details and proceed for payments

3.

Choose the option ‘Pay-On Delivery/ Pay Later’ option and make payment via ePay Later portal

After you’ve logged into the IRCTC portal, enter travel details like date of travel, From and To stations and click on Find Trains button. Now, choose the train and move to the booking section where you need to enter the passenger’s details.

Once you are done with this, enter the Captcha and then choose ‘Pay through Credit & Debit Cards / Net Banking / Wallets / Bharat QR / Pay on Delivery and Others’ as the payment option and click on the ‘Continue Booking’ button.

At the payment portal, choose ‘Pay-On Delivery/ Pay Later’ and click on the ‘Make Payment’ button. It will now redirect to the ePay later page.

Login using your mobile number and OTP received on your smartphone and make the payment. Once the payment is made, it will automatically redirect back to the IRCTC website showing successful payment and all the booking details.

iOS Copy-Paste Data Vulnerable to Snooping by Other Apps: Researchers

When it comes to data privacy and security, Apple has rarely shied away from taking credit for its encryption and security. Even in the tech industry, analysts have time to time lauded the company for its relatively secure operating system when compared to its immediate competitors. But now an alleged flaw in its ecosystem, exposed by two researchers, may allow personal data in Apple’s iPad and iPhone devices to be intercepted. According to Talal Haj Bakry and Tommy Mysk, when a user copies any miscellaneous data, it gets stored on Apple’s general pasteboard (commonly known as clipboard). This data temporarily stored to the device’s memory can be accessed by all apps, thereby, risks revealing private information such as a user’s GPS coordinates, passwords and banking details. “iOS and iPad operating system apps have unrestricted access to the system-wide general pasteboard,” the duo noted in a post published on Monday. They added saying, “A user may unwittingly expose their precise ...
