First, it was Nirabhaya, then the gruesome Kathua rape case and now another young woman went through the trauma of being gang raped before being strangled and burnt to death. Crime against women in our nation is only rising and we haven’t been able to curb that down.
Telugu superstar known for his role in Arjun Reddy, Vijay Deverakonda expressed concern over the same on Twitter recently. He made a valid point when he said that all families should take care of boys and men around them. It’s time we should stand against wrong behaviour.
He narrated an incident when he had to stay on call with a family member who was feeling unsafe. He also said that those people who don’t behave like humans deserve no human rights.
“I have had to stay on the phone while a member of the family or friend felt unsafe. How many of us have had to… it’s one of the scariest things to have to do. We all need to take responsibility of the boys/men in our homes, our friends and in our surroundings. Stand up to any wrong behaviour, correct them, make them understand. And those who don’t behave like humans deserve no human rights. Give them what they deserve,” wrote Vijay Deverakonda on Twitter.
